Past Bookings
Saturday 9th January 2010 - Grand New Year Ceildh at Mawdesley Village Hall
Despite the appalling weather which we suffered at the start of the year this Annual Event was incredibly well supported-it was on this Weekend that the snow and icy conditions were at their worst, certainly in this part of Lancashire. We were very grateful for the support and the request for the same Event again in 2011 was immediately granted.
Saturday 27th March 2010 - Fit4Life Ceilidh in Knutsford
Another enjoyable visit to Knutsford to play for another enthusiastic audience.
Saturday 10th July 2010 - Ceilidh in a Barn, Rufford near Ormskirk.
This was a Charity Event which attracted well over 300 guests and raised funds that benefitted a number of Local Charities. It was a tremendous achievement by the Orgainsers who I am sure were extremely pleased with the outcome and the atmosphere that was created in the Barn that night.
The Charity Event with a Ceilidh in a barn was extremely well attended and an enthusiastic audience enjoyed an excellent Evening. Lots of credit must go to the organusers for the way the Event was put together and the smooth way it all worked outon the night. A substantial sum was raised for the Charties involved.
Saturday 3rd January 2009, Grand New Year Ceildh - Mawdesley Village Hall.
A "Grand" start to the New Year with another sell out Event. Will repeat this again in 2010.
Saturday 14th March 2009 - Family Ceilidh in Knutsford Civic Centre.
Very successful Evening in Knutsford-nice to be asked back by the Organisers after our intial performance there last October.
Friday 27th March - Band-in-Barn in Grimsargh, near Longridge, Preston.
A enjoyable Evening and a genuine "Barn-Dance", an upmarket one at that! Also good to have an audience of under 21's.
Friday 24th April - Annual Ceildh at Catforth Village Hall near Preston.
Our Annual performance at Catforth. This Booking proved that you don't need a large crowd to have a "good Do". Fifty people were Rocking & Rolling all night-Partly due to their enthusiasm and also partly due to Stuart the Caller winding them up!
Saturday 2nd May - 50th Birthday Celebration Ceilidh at Walmer Bridge Village Hall, near Preston.
This was a good one! The Organisers were delighted with the Night-great Family atmosphere and plenty of dancing-Again Stuart had them going! A excellent advertisement for Folk Dancing providing a perfect medium for all ages and abilities.
Friday 22nd May - Surprise Anniversary Ceilidh, Trinity Church Hall, Brownhills, Blackburn.
Planned as a surprise Ceildh and what a surprise for the guest of honour when she walked in expecting a Friday Night Bridge Class and found 100 people and a Ceilidh due to kick-off!
Saturday 23rd May - Ceilidh at Paul's Farm, Moss Side, Leyland.
Another Rocking & Rolling Night - a few dance figures not quite out of the Folk Dance manual at this Do, but tradition does move on! Stuart excelling again, handing out the banter at the rate he was receiving it from the enthusiastic audience-good job he knows most of them! The Booking was enjoyed by all and went on a lot longer than planned which is always a good sign.
Saturday 27th June - Charity Ceilidh, All Saints Church Hall, Station Road, Hesketh Bank.
This Ceilidh was the Traditional Village Community Event at its best. The Function was well attended with a mixture of all ages keen to dance and join in and had a family atmosphere.
We are pleased to advise that over £2,500-00 was raised on the night towards the Church and Youth Group Funds. We expect to be back in 2010!
Saturday 11th July - Ceilidh in the Shed, Charity Event at Spencer's Farm, Mere Brow, Tarleton, near Preston, Lancashire.
This Event was organised by sisters Hayley & Katie Spencer as part of their 2009 Fund Raising Campaign for Breast Cancer. The Ceilidh was as advertised "in a Shed". It was, of course, a very big Shed!
The two girls organised the Event, sold the tickets, served the Fish & Chips and generally ensured that this Ceilidh went off with a Bang. Much enjoyment all round in raising a massive ?2,600-00 on the Night. Well done Hayley & Katie, they had also done the Moonlight sponsored walk in London earlier in the year.
Census of opinion was that there should be a repeat Ceilidh in 2010.
